Mentor Protégé Team of the Year 2011 Nominee
Boeing Corporation nominated Boeing and HAZMED for “Mentor-Protégé Team of the Year” for the Department of Homeland Security Mentor-Protégé Program. In 2007, Boeing Corporation selected HAZMED for participation in the Department of Homeland Security’s Mentor Protégé Program.  During the three-year period, Boeing provided managerial and technical assistance to our firm.

Maryland's Top 100 Women Circle of Excellence
HAZMED President Jacqueline. Sales was one of Maryland's Top 100 Women in 1999, 2003, and 2007. On May 7, 2007, the Daily Record inducted Ms. Sales, as a three-time winner, into the Circle of Excellence. The Baltimore-based business daily compiles this list to recognize women with significant and worthwhile career accomplishments, exercising leadership in their professional fields as mentors to other women.

Maryland Top 100 Minority Business Enterprise

On October 27, 2006, the Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs and the Daily Record recognized HAZMED as a successful Maryland minority business.

On September 27, 2000, the U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Region 3 honored HAZMED with the "Minority Small Business Firm of the Year" award for hard work and dedication to minority business growth and prosperity.

Business Leader Of The Year
On October 28, 2004, the Prince George’s County Chamber of Commerce recognized HAZMED President Jacqueline Sales as an accomplished business leader.

Finalist, Ernst &Young Entrepreneur of the Year
On June 29, 1999, Ernst & Young selected HAZMED President Jacqueline Sales as a finalist for the Maryland "Entrepreneur of the Year" award in the Science and Technology business category. "Entrepreneur of the Year" honors individuals whose ingenuity, hard work, and perseverance create and sustain successful, growing business ventures.
