Intelligent Computer-Assisted Detection (ICAD) is a real-time command and control system. HAZMED maintained and supported the ICAD national database housing chronological and geospatial event data. Our professional team has trained over 3,000 Border Patrol agents and personnel with on-site customized curricula.

Federal Response Plan (FRP) Development
Federal Emergency Management Agency
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) asked HAZMED to assist in the development and delivery of the government’s FRP as an efficient, consistent, and coordinated response of agencies involved. Our technical and editorial expertise supported publications by FEMA and other FRP agencies and we managed logistics for promotional meetings.

Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Training

HAZMED supported the Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program in scenario development, controller/player training, and exercise evaluation. We developed and delivered emergency management training to guide agency officials expected to assume authority in emergencies. We planned, designed, and implemented tabletop exercises and drills covering a variety of natural and technological hazard and threat scenarios.

HAZMED developed operational supplements and field references for numerous special events: the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA; the 1997 Summit of the Eight; the 1998 Nike World Masters Games; the 1998 World Energy Council Congress, the 1998 Goodwill Games; the 1999 Visit of Pope John Paul II; the 1999 NATO Summit; and the 1999 Women’s World Cup. We supported FEMA comprehensively in interagency domestic preparedness meeting preparations.
